Established since 1990

Founded in 1990 by Nuria Garcia, our school has been providing high-quality flamenco dance instruction for over 30 years. We believe that flamenco is not just a dance but a way of life. It brings joy, passion, and an appreciation of culture and community. At The London School of Flamenco, we bring the passion and energy of traditional Flamenco to life. We create an inclusive and supportive environment where anyone, regardless of skill level, can learn the art of Flamenco and appreciate its history and culture.

Founder & Director

Nuria Garcia

Nuria is director of the London School of Flamenco. She holds the Instructora de Baile qualification from the Sociedad de Baile Español (Spanish Dance Society). As a child, Nuria attended a full time dance school and trained in Spain under some of the most revered teachers including Antonio Canales, La Tati, Adrian Galia, Marco Flores, Manuel Liñán, Javier Latorre, Angel Muñoz, Eva Yerbabuena, Rosario Toledo, Rafaela Carrasco, Mario Maya Belén Maya Rocío Molina, Joaquín Grilo and Israel Galvan. Nuria has danced in many top flamenco companies, including Paco Peña’s, Juan Martín’s, Fiesta Flamenca and Grupo de Jerez, touring extensively worldwide. For five years, Nuria worked in the avant-garde flamenco and contemporary performance group Von Magnet, which led to several television appearances. Nuria has choreographed for various west end performances including Carmen the opera and has coached various athletes and dancers most notably the USA Olympic figure skating team and Strictly Come Dancing. Currently, Nuria is also Director of Dance for City Academy and

Co-Founder of their full time Ballet course.

Aitana Sola

Aitana Sola has been studying and performing Flamenco since age 4 under the guidance and tutoring of Nuria Garcia. She has continuously been studying with renowned Flamenco performers and teachers throughout her career which include Marco Flores, Manuel Liñan and Rafaela Carrasco. Aitana has performed in west end theatres which include La Traviata and various venues across London. With Aitanas extensive training in the Flamenco style, she is not only a skilled performer but also a dedicated and inspiring teacher who brings her passion for Flamenco to every lesson she teaches.

Mel Day

Mel is a highly skilled Flamenco tutor and dancer, having trained extensively with some of the best Flamenco teachers and performers worldwide. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Mel is passionate about sharing authentic Flamenco techniques with her students. She is also a flamenco dressmaker, continuously creating beautiful garments not only for our students but for clients globally. Mel's dedication to Flamenco extends beyond teaching and dancing; it's also reflected in her craftsmanship as a dressmaker. With her rich background in Flamenco, Mel brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her teaching. Mel's dual talents as both a dancer and dressmaker enrich the learning experience for her students, providing them with a holistic understanding of Flamenco culture and tradition. Through her teaching and craftsmanship, Mel continues to inspire a new generation of Flamenco enthusiasts.

Cajon Instructor

Ago Perfomo-Hernandez

 Ago, a classically trained percussionist and cajon player from Spain. With his deep understanding of the genre and years of experience in the industry, Ago has brought this and experienced to help students of all levels learn the intricacies of flamenco. Currently learning the Flamenco artform himself, he brings an amazing energy and understanding of the artform.
