Fiesta Flamenca Highlights

Students from our Saturday Children’s School performing their hearts out in La Mujer de Antonio. This was probably everyone’s favourite part of the show!
Carl Smith who appeared on stage as the janitor with a broom to lead our dancers in the Clean Up sequence. Carl is co-founder of the international hit show STOMP!
Macarena Ramírez, who danced the most stunning Alegrías with bata de cola and mantón. Intense storytelling combined with exciting, innovative choreography. It was an incredibly inspiring finale that brought the whole audience to their feet!

Our Heartfelt Thanks to
Macarena Ramírez: who flew to London just to perform at the show. An amazing star of the flamenco stage and an inspiration to us all!
London School of Flamenco performers: for all your hard work, dedication and support. You all danced so beautifully!
Mel Day: for her wonderful work choreographing the Bata de Cola and Guajira, and for designing and making some of the beautiful costumes for her students!
Aitana Sola: for all her teaching and assistance with the children.
Carl Smith: who choreographed “Clean Up”, for his positivity, artistry and belief in our performers. Carl is co-founder/writer/performer of STOMP, one of the most successful shows ever to come out of the UK,
Kirill Burlov: who choreographed the elegant ballet sequence danced by Noah Levy.
And especially to our Musicians and Singers:
Tito Heredia: Guitarist and composer of all the music, a special artist who makes his guitar sound like an orchestra.
Ago Perdomo Hernandez: Cajon player, and composer and teacher of our cajon students
Preetha Narayanan: Violinist, whose playing matched the beauty of the ballet sequence
Carlos Barba: an amazing dedicated singer, full of energy and passion (resident singer at our school).
Jasmine Villalobos and Leo Power: our wonderful singers from Spain.
And of course, we couldn’t have achieved so much without the incredible vision, ambition and teaching of Fiesta Flamenca’s artistic director and choreographer, Nuria Garcia!
Mil gracias a todos!
