Flamenco Around the Clock - A Joyful 12-hour Celebration!

Updated: Feb 4

At noon on Saturday 25th January, we opened the doors to Flamenco Around the Clock. This was our first fund-raising feria for mental wellbeing charity Rhythmic Health. Our aim was to make it a feria for everyone, where the friends and families of our students and all our supporters could take part.

The event started with a lovely Sevillanas demonstration to get everyone in the party mood. Throughout the afternoon, our stage filled with dancers of all ages and abilities. In between the wonderful performances by our students, there were fun workshops for all, from salsa to beginners flamenco, cajon to bulerias.

The children’s performances were the highlight of the afternoon. They performed with amazing confidence and grace, a testament to the focus and hours of practice they had put in.

The audience was buzzing with excitement and expectation for the evening’ show and they were treated to spectacular dancing and choreography by a star-studded cast.

With all the performances done, it was time for everyone to let their hair down for the sponsored Sevillanas danceathon. We ended the day as we had started, celebrating flamenco dance and music, and the fantastic community we have built together.

Our heart-felt thanks to our students, teachers, musicians, friends and families for making the event such an amazing success! While we are still waiting for the final few donations from our danceathon, the amount raised for Rhythmic Health is estimated to exceed £3,000.

Thank you so much! Your generous support is overwhelming!!
