The joy and excitement of tablao performances are created through the improvisation and interaction between the artists - the dancers, guitarists and singers.

Learn the art of tablao with us over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Course: TABLAO COURSE with Nuria Garcia, Victor Ramos "El Chuli", Michael J. McMahon (guitarist) and Carlos (singer)

Dates: August 23rd, 24th, and 25th

Time: 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM daily

Showcase Performance for Course Participants: A fun opportunity to perform on the evening of 25th August at Llerena Iberico Tapas Bar, 167 Upper Street, London N1 1US.

During the three day course, we will collaboratively create five unique tablao shows, each featuring three dancers, a guitarist, and a singer. This course offers a fantastic chance to experience the essence of tablao in an exciting and fun environment.

To celebrate your hard work, we have arranged five intimate shows at Llerena Iberico Tapas Bar, a beautiful Spanish restaurant in Islington, where you can invite your friends and family to watch you perform. The show starts at 7:15 pm on 25th August and will also feature Victor Ramos "El Chuli".

With a career spanning more than three decades, he has performed with major companies such as the Welsh National Opera, Els Comediants, Residual Gurus, and Barcelona Flamenco Ballet at the Teatre Poliorama. He also takes part in productions in London, including Identidades, Tangolé, and the flamenco collective Fin de Fiesta.

As the founder and director of Dansació, he develops original choreographic work that blends the intensity of flamenco with contemporary movement, pushing the boundaries of both.

For guitarists and singers who are currently learning and wish to be part of this unique experience, please contact Nuria Garcia directly. We will arrange a special course tailored just for you, led by our professional musicians.

Guitarists on the course will be led by the extremely talented guitarist Michael J. McMahon. He studied and worked in Seville for many years and plays with great passion and feeling. Michael will help you play for tablao with dancers and singers.

Carlos, a singer from Jerez de la Frontera, will accompany us throughout the course, giving dancers and guitarists the full experience of working together.
